Privacy notice

Who I am: ALM Digital Studio, a founder-led studio in Richmond Hill, Ontario (info@almdigitalstudio.com). I provide the AI Receptionist on behalf of the business whose website you are visiting; that business decides why your information is collected and I process it for them.

What is collected in the chat: the messages you type, and, only if you fill in the request form, your name, contact details and the details of your request. A random visitor id is stored in your browser so the conversation can continue if you reload the page.

Why: to answer your questions and pass your request to the business. If you tick the separate optional box, the business may also send you offers; you can unsubscribe at any time.

AI: answers are generated by an AI model using information the business approved. Do not enter payment card numbers, passwords or government ID numbers.

Retention: conversation content is deleted automatically after the business's retention period (180 days unless the business sets a shorter or longer period). Request records are kept by the business as part of its customer records.

Your rights: you can ask the business, or me at info@almdigitalstudio.com, for access to or correction or deletion of your information, subject to legal requirements (PIPEDA).

Where: data is stored on servers I operate in Canada or the United States; AI processing runs on infrastructure I control by default. If an outside AI provider is ever used as a fallback, it is a provider that does not train on customer data.
